Peanut Sauce
As far as I know satay refers to the skewers used in cooking the dish though peanut sauce has become synonymous with satay. Therefore this peanut sauce can be used as such, or as a satay sauce.
Ingredients
1 onion
2 tablespoons peanut oil or sunflower oil
100g cup roasted peanuts
1 red chilli
400ml coconut milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
juice of 1 lemon
salt
Method
Put all of the ingredients in a food processer and blitz.
