Pitta Bread Pizzas



This is a simple, convenient snack. The topping can be varied from the ham one used here e.g. pepperoni, mushrooms, olives

For each pizza

Ingredients
1 pitta bread
1 tbsp tomato puree
pinch dried mixed herbs
1 slice cooked ham, chopped
25g cheddar or mozzarella cheese, grated

Method
Put the pitta bread under a hot grill to toast one side
Meanwhile mix the tomato puree and mixed herbs together. (You can add a little water if the pure mix seems too thick)
After the pitta bread is toasted, remove from the grill
Spread the tomato puree mix over the untoasted side of the pitta bread
Sprinkle the chopped ham over the tomato puree and then sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the ham to cover the pitta bread
Put back under the grill and heat until the cheese has browned slightly and melted
